Founder and CEO John Pavlus directs XAVTLI’s strategy and invention. Specialist leadership brings focused clinical and technical depth to frontier medicine.
John Pavlus, MD
Founder & CEO
John founded Xavtli to bridge the gap between what medicine can achieve and the care people can receive at its edge. His experience in expeditionary interventional radiology and early device design shaped that purpose. At Brooke Army Medical Center, he built the interventional trauma program and led the interventional radiology service.
Jon leads Farstep’s operations and scientific direction in Frontier Interventional & Procedural Medicine. His work connects research questions, study design, protocols and training across expeditionary, space, distributed and augmented interventional medicine through Farstep.
He is an interventional radiology resident at Yale School of Medicine and founder of the Society of Interventional Radiology Military Chapter. His expeditionary IR work has been featured on WarDocs and BackTable. His coauthored work with John Pavlus examines ultrasound assistance in austere trauma care and procedural medicine beyond Earth.
Tej leads XAVTLI’s AI and data work, connecting clinical software, data architecture and evaluation of AI tools through XAVAI.
He completed interventional radiology residency at Johns Hopkins. His research includes deep learning for liver cancer treatment assessment and large language models for clinical prediction.
Hector leads operations in Frontier Environmental & Occupational Medicine, connecting exposure, assessment, treatment and response over time through Xovli.
He is an occupational and environmental medicine resident at the University of California, San Francisco. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and completed a preliminary year in general surgery at UC Davis. Before medicine, he worked in industrial operations and environmental health and safety, bringing a firsthand understanding of workplace exposures to his clinical work.
